My first Scale model, a/72 A-10 Thunderbolt by Academy

My first scale model from Academy. The venerable A-10 Warthog in 1/72 scale

this is my first kit, paint scheme and decals is based on the 23rd wing, Operation IraqI Freedom. Each part fits well and you have the option to build it with the wells open or closed, as well as the canopy 

the best part is the weapons, you can go on ground support, bombing mission or scud hunting. I think I overdid it. What the heck.

applied gloss wax - pledge wipe and shine

the fun part - enamel wash

washes galore. I hope i wont regret it later

with the excess enamel gone.
