1/72 AH-1S Cobra by Hobby Boss

This is my second kit, an AH-1S Cobra by Hobby Boss in 1/72 Scale. Kit comes in three sprues. At $10.00 this is a bargain. There are options for missiles/ rocket launchers,but the canopy comes in a single piece, so you have to build it with the hatch closed.

this is hand painted using tamiya acrylic, the first layer looks awful

with the cockpit glued it, and the chin sensors mounted. Fortunately, this kit does not need any nose weights. 

the shine comes from the gloss of the wax - pledge wipe and shine here in the Philippines

I used the wrong decals. A newbie build without doing a proper research. A simple look at the internet will show you that Israeli cobras are not green. Anyway, a lesson for me.

even the rocket launchers are also wrong with the color. They are supposedly with the same color as the fuselage.

My first Scale model, a/72 A-10 Thunderbolt by Academy

My first scale model from Academy. The venerable A-10 Warthog in 1/72 scale

this is my first kit, paint scheme and decals is based on the 23rd wing, Operation IraqI Freedom. Each part fits well and you have the option to build it with the wells open or closed, as well as the canopy 

the best part is the weapons, you can go on ground support, bombing mission or scud hunting. I think I overdid it. What the heck.
